Nosebleeds and insomnia...

Are my two new pregnancy symptoms to the list. Boy! The curse really stuck with this one! I had a nosebleed so profuse that I almost had to call Eric home from music practice this week because I was bleeding from both nostrils and it lasted for over 30 minutes. It was pretty gross. And, it started while I was singing to Emory before bedtime. So, I had to literally throw her in the bed before I got blood all over her and leave her to it while I took care of myself. She handled the abrupt end to her bedtime routine fairly well, but let me know it wasn't the way she'd have chosen to go...

And the insomnia! I have absolutely no problem falling asleep, in fact I'm usually out by 9:00. But here I am this morning, up at 5:00, which is really 4:00 since we sprung forward last night, and I am bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. I won't be at 10:00am when I am supposed to be teaching three-year-old Sunday schoolers today, though. Good thing my taste for coffee has recently returned. So now there are two things I can drink and keep down, water and coffee. Although water is good for me and coffee keeps me awake when I've been up for 4 hours before my family, I am growing weary with the limited choices I have in beverages. Like I said, the child-bearing curse is in full force with this kid. I am almost anxious to see what's next on the wierd pregnancy symptoms list...

But, I'm really not complaining because I feel more like myself every day. Yesterday I took Emory to the park for about 2 and 1/2 hours and really enjoyed it. It's been a while since I enjoyed anything but sleeping. And, our little girl has been so cheerful and fun. I think she's noticing the change in mommy as well. Which just goes to show you, it really is true... When momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!

You can take Tylenol PM at this point in your pregnancy. Granted, you may not be at your best for your active little girl should she need you in the middle of the night!

Pregnancy insomnia is the worst! I feel for you. Be careful with the Tylenol PM though, if you are prone to restless legs. I only get them when I am pregnant and the Tylenol makes them worse. Only 4 and a half months to go!!!!
